Had a parcel delivered today by In post , the driver of the van was French , he asked if I was the person on the label ,I said yes and I said you used to work for Guisnel from Mur de Bretagne didnt you ? , he said yes and I recognise you also and then said , you used to work for GBE didnt you ? I remember you from the ferries, he married a ■■■■■■■ the desk at Brittany Ferries in Poole and moved over to Poole to live.
This is around 1979ish going through the white stuff in Guarda heading back from Lisbon to Cherbourg / Poole.
Nice looking rig but no power, a gearbox like stirring porridge and the most uncomfortable seat I’ve ever experienced and that includes a Mandator.
It was a proper trip back then as all the old boys know.
Ian Mick and Steve were on for R & G for years.Good lads to run with or be stuck with weekends or holidays.

Hi Baldrick I know what you mean about Shady but half the lies he tells you arn’t true but hes an alright guy Known him for more years than I care to remember.As for Mick he probably is a Mappo disciple.I saw Ian a couple of weeks ago and he has not changed at all.Cheers Geoff
