Red and white IIRC
Well Harry Mason there’s a blast from the past, in the 90’s we used to load his fridge back from Spain from San Fulgencio with broccoli, even though he only had a 24 pallet trailer it paid well as the rate we got was good, we ran all 26 pallet trailers for Sydney Hart some of which were with his sign writing but it was a big job for us at the time.
The chap who pulled the fridge was called Shaun and in the end he defected from Mason’s and came and drove for us at Davies International as did another Shirley (Rixon) was the surname. Ironically Shaun’s son who’s nick name was “Bodge” rang the other day for a job and I remember him as young lad shipping out with his dad on Sealink from Southampton on the “love boat” as it was fondly known as by all drivers, good old days in fact another Mary Hopkins moment, cheers Buzzer.
Buzzer remember clearing loads for Sydney Hart especially apples !
Shirley was a good lad, last time i saw him was about 1990/91 !!! Long time ago !
Denby, another regular through Poole !
