Hi joeshell , great photo , the colour photo AEC mk5 Photograph with the the single axle trailer , that picture was given to me by a ex employee from Teesport , I am quite often in the North East mainly in Billingham loading Nitric acid at Growhow or Methanol + Acetate at the Simon Storage Riverside Terminal , the Riverside terminal got flooded last month , exceptionally high tide it caused havoc the A19 the flyover sliproads were closed off , cars were just abandoned on the roundabout under the flyover , I was loading at Simon storage at Seal Sands and they had closed the terminal due to the potential flooding , eventually got loaded with Tolouene at 8 at night. All the Best for the New Year , have a good New Years eve celebration. tankerjack

Hi there Senior50…When I worked at BP Avonmouth I’m sure the manager we had originally worked as a driver at Partington…if so he probably worked with your father…his name was Mac Hargraves… another fellow was Bryan Balfour… cheers…Bryan
The Partington depot is still there, and still in faded BP colours (Green), it now host a highways depot and is seperate to the Paper mill, I’m not sure if the workshop is used as a workshop or storage but still in use anyway
Here is a BP Oil road tanker 8 wheeler with a white products barrel , the same road tanker was in Shell oil livery at Heysham oil depot.
