A lad I worked with at GBE works for them, any horror stories?
a bloke at f/liner came from macfarlanes from sewells at gildersome leeds and he got the sack… he said that they had him starting at 9am till late and messing around all the time with crap jobs doing changeovers all the euro work was done by the same euro drivers and they wont let anyone else on anyway he got the sack after the manager told he wasnt fitting in.
if they have a branch in coventry, i worked for them 6 years ago trunking up to longbridge carrying landrover wheels in a DAF 85. they seemed ok then but not exactly a posh company. portacabin office, tight yard etc
It is the Euro work im interested in. They do have a yard in Coventry too but that is running for Howard Tenens.
The money is not excessive but the work is more varied with weekends away

anyone know wot happen to this company,they had taken over the A ONE TRANSPORTS yard,i went to see if any jobs going when a one was going down,i turned up with a one arctic and told me to come back later,but never when back.went to George walkers of Leeds ,put me off driving
