Been a bad smash involving a truck and 3 cars between junction 15-15a. I set off from Hemel Hempsted at 16:00 and I haven’t come off at the closure point yet Loads of knob heads thinking its good to go up the hard shoulder with the hazards on as though the rest of us are parked up for the laugh!
I pulled over half and half to stop the pricks doing it everything was ok until a cop car was coming up the hard shoulder in my mirrors got through ok but in my head I felt just as low as the scum going up the h/s we’ve gone about 5 mile in 4 and half hour and I know it’s going to be bedlam trying to find a spot to park up, all the surrounding routes will be chocka but considering there could be serious injuries or even a fatal then I don’t care about the delays, just ■■■■■■ off with the retarded pricks going up the h/s and still doing it by the way
I just hope a large fine and 3 points will be finding a place on their front door mats and there’s going to be plenty of truck drivers going well over their hours me included, just hope no one is seriously hurt.

Take the moral high ground and if they want to be so self important then let them. I’d love to block idiots from doing this but as you found out it’s not just them you get in the way of.

Yeah hope no one is injured. These FUDS running up the hard shoulder annoy me too, “Oh I’ll just pop the hazards on and nip up the hard shoulder, after all I haven’t had my tea yet” its more likely the police will let them proceed, and pull you for causing a tail back ON THE HARD ■■■■■■■ SHOULDER… lol

I was stuck in it for over 5 hours got to Watford gap cars all over the lorry park. Complained in side the manager wouldn’t even see me
Went out talking to a mate about it and some fat horrible cretin started telling me her dog needing a ■■■■ is more important then the legality of truck drivers stopping for a legal break requirement. I ended up shouting with her while her husband had his head down. I ended it telling him I don’t know how he puts up with that!
Then another busy body prick told me it’s tough ■■■■ they’ll park where they want if I wasn’t in company uniform I’d if dropped the ■■■■ !
Got home thankfully pulled into yard at 5 to midnight 5 mins spare on the 15 so at least I didn’t have to stop out, so glad that doesn’t happen very often
So annoying when lorry park is full we get moved on or a ticket for parking in car or coach park but these ignorant pricks think they can put us out despite the fact we don’t always choose where to stop.

I would’ve just parked across the lot of them… then watch them either do more damage to their cars trying to get out, or attempt a 100 point turn :mrgreen::mrgreen:.

Yes I know Contraflow. Stupid really I don’t it must have been a rush of blood seeing all this I’m all important, I’m going to miss my pint/ tea pricks just shooting up the hard shoulder not caring less that someone could be dead a few mile up the road. They weren’t just going up for a few yard either as between Junction 14 and 15 it must be at least 8 mile between the junctions.
I suppose if it was for a few yard I wouldn’t have cared less but probably because they were blatanly taking the ■■■■ for about 8 mile made me over react.
I was stuck on the M1 near Toddington a few weeks back and there was a stream of cars sailing down the hard shoulder. I think they were going through the services and out the other side.
Worse thing is, about 5 vehicles in front of me in the middle lane was a Widdowsons truck and he forced his way from the middle lane into the hard shoulder and went into the services. Must be desperate for a break I thought. Until I sailed straight past him a few hundred yards the other side of the services.
Never really noticed people doing that before so when I was stuck near Strensham last week I watched several trucks get off and go through the services and out the other side.
To top it all off I actually overheard one of our drivers a few months back advising a new pass driver to do this at every junction in traffic jams
