The motorways which are the best in the area are all tolls, which are pretty cheap.
If you go to Kosovo take a spare passport, You won’t be allowed to travel through serbia with a kosovan stamp in it.

Ive been doing Kosovo for the past 6 years and never had a problem with a Kosovo stamp in my passport. The problem starts if you Fly into Kosovo then try and leave via a Serbian border. They still see Kosovo as part of Serbia so if you enter Serbia and travel into Kosovo then as far as they are concerened you have just been to Serbia, if you enter Kosovo via another border other than a Serbian border then they see it as entering Serbia illegally.

Where in Serbia are you going ? What route are you taking to get there and which border are you entering Serbia ? Without being too specific what will be you load ?
One tip I will give you, they are not part of the EU so ■■■■ and alcohol is cheap…dont be tempted to buy too much. If you come back into the EU via Hungary THEY WILL SEARCH YOU FOR ALCOHOL AND ■■■■…THE LIMIT IS 1 LTR OF ALCOHOL AND 40 ( 2 X 20 packets) ■■■■ and they will confiscate anything over and fine you at least 100 euros…I know from experience

I will be coming from Constanta Romania, looking at the map am planning on cutting across the top of Bulgaria at Vidin, then up to Novi Sad.Its entertainment equipment for hire, so am on a carnet.
