Had the pleasure of my first self tip today at Aldi Goldthorpe.
Tipped 11 pallets,in and out in just over an hour.

Well, would you guy’s be surprised if someone told you that the warehouse staff at Aldi or Lidl were earning more money than the HGV driver’s, who delivered to their RDC’s?

Please don’t shout at me,but why o why do we drivers stand for this?..On a visit to Alidi in Middleton today I was told I had to tip myself then put the pallets in the bays according to the item grading…THEN he wanted me to strip on the plastic banding !!>…F off springs to mind !!
Don’t you think if we all stuck together these asses would tip the truck for us as it should be?..Can you really see it in Europe?..NO WAY !!!

Lidl and Adi have been doing this in Europe for donkeys years making the drivers unload themselves.

I think you will find that in Europe aldi tip the truck for you,NOT the driver,unless they changed it last week !..
It’s the bloody idiot drivers in this country that let them get away with it,same as Tesco Snodland,takes ages…Then YOU muppets let them keep the key to your house (truck) whilst you sit in a dirty smelly waiting area not fir for a dog !!

The one who needs to get real is you me old son and get aout and about a bit and see the real world rather than listen to what the Kazachstan experts tell you while scratching your balls in an RDC.
Aldi and Lidl in every European country have ALWAYS been self tip even in Germany where they have been fined for it on several occasions, other examples of self tip are

El Corte Ingles Spain
just for your info my drivers regularly deliver to several Lidl and Aldi warehouses throughout Spain and Germany and we unload about 700 trailers a year at Albert Heijn so I do know what I am on about

I never minded tipping myself, it’s the waiting for them to check the stuff thats the bind
And I’d like to add that Metro in Italy make you tip yourself too. This is certainly not a UK thing. In fact I’ve been to many places that make you load yourself too in Europe.
I prefer it. I’d rather spend 30/40 mins tipping myself than several hours sat in a crappy waiting room.

been self tip for as long as i can remember .
can be a long wait if you cant understand the language clearly from them first time you go its a long wait till someone finaly tells you 
after that pull it out they give you electric pallet trucks so not as if busting your balls dragging it off
I’d love to go to a self-tip RDC and would take great delight in telling to eff off.
A fall from a trailer a few years ago left me with a knackered leg and I use a walking stick and have a disabled blue-badge, which I’d wave in front of their face, whilst hobbling about with my walking stick.
I’m a driver not a manual labourer.
I tipped and loaded many Aldi and Lidl stores in Germany, France Belgium and the UK. I have never been tipped by anyone, they give you a bay, they lend you a pallet truck and they ask you to keep it between the lines.
Even loading tinned food from Daucy or Pedigree we had to load ourselves and it was a big job for my company.
It isnt hard work and is easier than opening both curtains
In snodland you can stay in your motor,or go upstairs and use the canteen,one of the last ones you can use your own money instead of the card system they now use,so your talking out of your arse,you tool
I wish we could self tip at all the places.It’s generally big fat over weight drivers who start moaning about it.I am glad to get out the seat and pull unload a few pallets.You can make it easy by raising or lowering the unit and trailer no effort at all.
