Truckfest about 1989
I forgot we once had this on fleet. Wider turning circle than Ark Royal, and only the Iveco bits ever let us down.

Seen in the parking area at the Heritage Motor Centre during the Classic Commercial Show , was this Seddon Atkinson 4 wheeler.
It must be one of the last to bear the Seddon Atkinson badging , and its also proudly displaying a
Silver Knight` on the grille.
Cheers , cattle wagon man.

Well done moomooland this must rate as one of my favourite photo and unfortunately now gone company .
A great truck to drive…Atki Strato twin steer looking tired after a long service at Jaspers Foods. sadly written off a few years back, RIP
Another old un… A 350 coupled to a twin splitter.
Once upon a time …,
there was a Seddon Atkinson Strato, an ERF, a Leyland T45 and a fork lift truck with a pile of bits …
The ERF:
The Leyland (D495LAT):
The parts:
Loaded - and being strapped before departure:
The Roadtrain has a ■■■■■■■ E290, Fuller RTX11609 and a Volvo back end. It apparently ran like the wind when in service. It was bought from it’s original owner by John Richards at CV Spares in Morecambe, with a view to it being restored and rallied. Sadly, it would appear that never happened.

Can anyone help me with information about this strato? G329 MKW grassmere motors further up in the post
moomooland:
Hiya,
Nice thread, now I’ve never had the pleasure of driving those Strato’s, but I always thought they looked the part, in a proper livery that is…
What about the handlings, were they better or worse than the equivalent Leyland DAF 95 series?
Or Pegaso Troner for that matter
Cheers, Patrick
Here is a strato owned by my friend Ian ridley I think this was at a truck fest in Scotland roughly 95 or 96 , unfortunately this wagon has been retired for a few years but shows they were a smart motor in their day, previous to being owned by Ian ridley it was white with John Carr from Sheffield on it , they use to manufacture or sell house doors etc
