An Atkinson 4x2 kit ready to be packed for export.1
An aerial view of Seddons woodstock factory site at Newhey Oldham in the mid 70s.Most of this site is now owned by the Howarth family and is let off into industrial units.0
The kit went to the 10 year old son of the king of Persia for his christmas present … he found bits missing and wrote to Meccano by mistake but found the parts fitted OK , he did not fit the handbrake ,so he could get into the cab …he wrote to Atkinson for the spacer for the steering box …but was told …yes its supposed to be out of line wid the driver ! and …dont worry on the smoke …they all do it !
Saw this on shunting duties last week

What a snip Eh, I could do wonders with it, But alas Im too bloody old, & Of course my fanacial manager (My good Lady) Would never agree to me having it sadly to say, Buts its nice to see a good old SEDAKI again, Regards Larry.
I would of liked to see it our livery, And attend the shows with it , I wish, Regards Larry.

I`'ve got a real soft spot for these Seddons. I learned to bunny hop my way up a twin splitter in some of these.
They also didn’t have speed limiters fitted
Another shot of Bennett’s Seddon-Atkinson retro-converted Super-space cabbed Supercruiser with Eaton Twin-splitter. I know they had a few problems achieving the finished product, but I always thought this was one of the more laudable enterprises of this kind. Hope it’s still going! Robert

Hi Guys,
Just been looking at the new Iveco web site from here, the old site used to contain a section on Seddon Atkinson vehicles that they still manufactured.
The new site doesn’t have any reference to the make at all, have they ceased production?
