Wonderful. Supposed to be dropping my brother off at Luton Airport for… 10am

Just give him a kite it should do the trick and he will miss the traffic jams on the M1

Makes me smile how when there was a red warning back end of last year in the north east it was hardly covered , but now it’s down south it’s like the end of the world.
Still wouldn’t fancy driving in it though to be fair

It’s a tad gusty

Gonna be a few bent doors after today

Got to Luton and back no issues. Not sure about his flight but not my problem, done my bit

People generally behaving on M1, probably slightly quieter than normal. There qas an uprooted tree northbound at J16 blocking a bit of lane one which I’d have avoided in my car but crunched over in the company truck

Still some idiots on the M25…

Mainly vans

Luton still operating, but timings are likely affected.
Naples 13hr30 flight taking off now, at 14hr35.

Typical hysterical climate bs.
Although to be fair I had to brave the howling tempest an hour ago to put back a plastic garden chair which had been blasted over onto its side. The wind is stronger now at 15.35 than it was then.
Why stop at 30 years why not a few more to include the proper 1987 storm.

My brother’s flight was due to take off at 13:00 for Antalya but its delayed until 17:00 last time I looked and last time I heard from him (approx 14:00) he was suitably inebriated

Meanwhile in Cornwall the posties (amongst others) are still wearing shorts.
In my local in Penzance at 5pm, 2 were wearing shorts out of about 10 of us
