Im driving a Renault 7.5 ton, its 1994 and has no seat belts, are the company required to fit them?
No not at all. Seat belts didn’t come into lorries until late 94 I think. If it hasn’t got them and it’s got an MOT (which you will of checked in your walk round) then it doesn’t need them
Thanks tom, got mot ok and just wanted to be sure
It may be legal but i wouldn’t really feel safe taking it out as i’ve kind of got use to this seat belt thing.

It suits me ok bald bloke, worked for the security forces for years and never had to wear a belt, I still struggle to wear the belt in the car. No belt warning buzzer and I genuinely forget to wear it

I forget mine in the van but never I the truck as it makes a horrible row and Mrs TTs car is a ■■■■ about it. Bleeps loads even if I’m moving on my driveway
