That what I get for practically every search I do :open_mouth:
Have to say that the search function here needs some serious tweaking

use the advanced search its better it looks like the same as before

Must be something I’m doing wrong then because I find the advanced search to be no better than the quick search
Even obvious words like “digital” “example” “hours” “driver” “truck” “trucker” “trucknet” bring up no results regardless of weather or not I select a forum :frowning:
The words “trucknet truck” brings up endless pages of results on Google but neither word shows any results on trucknet UKs advanced search or quick search :open_mouth:

Where am I going wrong ? :grimacing:

I had the same problem earlier :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

Well the good news is that it’s being looked into so hopefully a fix won’t be tooooo far off

The search is rubbish
It is not doing its job properly, someone give it a kick up the arse

The search issue seems to be quite complex, Techman is working on it,

We will probably have to take the entire forum offline to completly reindex the whole database, this may take a couple of hours. The plan is to do this in the early hours to minimise disruption

The advanced-driving.co.uk site has just gone to the same board as this one and have just got their site search facility sorted

It looks like the search is only searching from when the database was created, (when we upgraded) so we need to force an index of the whole database, this is hugely server intensive and the quickest and easiest way is to take the forums offline - which I as I said in the update thread we will do in the early hours to minimise disruption.

If you do have probs then ask Darren from the above site I mentioned - he did that one from BB2 to BB3
