Anyone tipped there? I’ve dome the one in Stoke and its generally quite quick for that type of place. Is Stafford of the same ilk?
Strict on booking times (30 minutes either side of your time) but then normally it’s reasonable enough tip time.
It’s hit or miss. If you turn up early and the old Sikh is in the gatehouse, he’ll let you in. Any of the others, forget it. Once you’re in it can be a long job tipping, and the rigmarole for putting the suzie lock on demands a degree in advanced technology. At least COVID means drivers are currently spared the wait in the tiny room next to the toilet. Goods In staff are generally cheerful though. Enjoy!
Never successful getting in their more than half hour early , quite a quick tip generally and no fuss waiting for paperwork as they don’t touch it due to Covid. Or they didn’t a couple of months ago. There’s worse places to tip on a Friday.
Been there once that was bad enough.
Lot off faff with keys n locks n stuff once and a bay.
Then basically sat in the so called waiting room. After about half an.hour thought I’d get a coffee from the machine change was in truck so walked truck got some change come.back.
Woman on desk went mad at me I had no right to return to my truck to get change to buy a brew apaaratently
She radioed through to warehouse and told them.not to offload. Me. But was to late as the already started.
That’s my 1st and only experonce of going there
Tbf I found it fine. Yeah it was a faff with the bay keys but I was on and off a bay in 30 mins so can’t grumble.

sorry but i have to ask as ive been away in canada for more than a few yrs,but if someone talked to me like sht either at a gate or behind a desk i would have made the call do you want it or not/?.name please. Why has this not been nipped in the bud by drivers. Only had this twice in 12 yrs in canada and the east indian at this gate changed his attitude/ mind when i started to reverse back to the highway.(i didnt have my trailer axles all the way back,never been before /or told until at gate and he got very nasty blah blahtruck drivers,swearing )i just went name please and walked to back o trailer to check then was getting in cab he was what you doing ,i told him im off . thought he was going to cry .had a little crowd watching…nb (the other time i wrote about when on ltl work and i never went back to the premises it all went into storage )
Tbf I normally don’t cut much mustard with narky people, but I found it funny that he was almost convinced that he was a nightclub bouncer so I was just laughing at him more than anything. Entertainment value and that
