That Sandy Kydd 143 is about as good as it gets, neat with the right bits and not overdone. Maybe alloys instead of the trims, but thats it.

Thanks for your show of confidence in me Marc, you needed to be an exponent of "clutchless racing changes"to keep those old girls going i think i could still manage the driving bit but climbing in the shed would be a different kettle of fish, just loved those old Atki’s and ERFs but nowt less than 180 powered or should that read “underpowered” nice pics as per usual.

The black fiat with morganhire tilt belonged to Peter Fox who lived in Yate and was doing Middle East at the time.
Always regret not going on trip with him!

I remember seeing that Scammell on a couple of occasions running up and down the M1 in the early eighties, you couldn’t really miss it. I once parked near it on Woodall Services and at the time it didn’t cross my mind to take a photo .

nice to see a Watts lorry again i remember seeing the old scania 3 series on an Fplate on the M5 regularly for a long time untill they went to SA stratos with the iveco cab & ERF EC series , i think that was probably as new as they went before they closed
lovin the pic of Pattens as i’m an Ilminster lad anyway ! made a gaff in my earlier post they had 4 of these E10’s ! forgot about firey fred , previous to the ERF i think he had the only DAF Patten has owned & was written off in glastonbury i think

brian meeks ERF quality pic once again bubbs he and my dad was good mates years ago ! havnt seen him around for a while wondered if he finally retired ? dad said his son had a bulker aswell guessed it might be an ERF lol
brian retired last lear steve not long before you came back to MVF,he used to run out of dorchester & calne regularly, i think he still owns the ERF although it’s not plated anymore but last i heard he drives as a casual for BOCM at radstock

Aye, you and me both mate, and the ERF. Patricroft power with a 6 speed DB. I once had one with a ZF box, air assisted change, it was a good machine.
