Berger Paints now theres a blast from the past!

This picture was taken in the entrance to the then Berger depot at Stakehill Middleton Manchester.
When Berger moved out in 1982 the depot became a Tesco non perishable depot.
Tesco moved out a couple of years ago and it is now a small B&Q distribution depot

Bubs, the last pic on here looks like Gwynn Jones the last time i saw him he was driving for Thatchers Cider from Sandford nr Weston s mare,keep up the good work it has taken me days to go through all these pages, the triffids are taking over cos ive been on here so long take care Melv. :smiley: :smiley:

Hi andy,nice to know Maurice is still with us.Sorry to say these are the only WCF pictures i have left don’t know were the rest are. I do have one of the old Crusader but it is only on the front cover of a WCF mag when they got it new.I still live near a few of the old company drivers /John Tomlinson /Dez Thackrey/Garry Falkingham /sadley John Firth died last week and my old friend Stuart Ingham died four years ago/His brother Ian still lives local to me,also see Terry Smith sometimes in town.glad you sent the e-mail nice to keep in touch with old work mates. My eldest son has just restored an F88 which is also on this web site ( F88 UAG 999R Restored ) if you want to have a look,still got quite a few pictures to add to the posting when I get them downloaded. Ah, Longcliffe, getting close to home now Marc! I went past their place last week and they still have a few out of service Foden tanker’s in the yard that have been parked up for several years. Don’t suppose you have a pic of the Norde’s that they ran in the '60’s?

Hi just back from a trip to Ireland anyone recognise these two eight wheeler ERF’s which were fairground lorries?

Hi Marc here are a couple more pics


Heres a colour picture of the Truck on the far left. When they first got them they were so busy they weren’t signwritten immediately. The trucks were some of the first Fiat 170’s NT26.
