Hi all, I have a 15 plate streamline Scania, when I put my boots on the top step they get wet if it’s heavy rain, is there any way of stopping this? Any help much appreciated.

The trick is to put a bit a plastic bag taped from the cab to the back of the step as the water is channeled around that area due to spray suppression

Yeah don’t leave them on the top step
Or don’t use a Scania

You could put your boots on your feet.

That’s what I was thinking. I watched a Valley artic in Smiths the other day, tipping type 1. Started tipping the trailer, then opened cab door and then rushed to remove his shoes, put on his boots and then run to the trailer to get the tailgate open. Yes this cab happy prick was tipping before undoing the tailgate. Just to keep his cab clean.

Been told horror stories on DCPC courses of drivers doing that. I think it was by the bloke who rants about being on the course before it starts, and then shares an “experience” everytime the trainer speaks.

I’m reminded of that dash cam clip of the truck cutting up a puddle jumper at a roundabout/traffic lights, and the driver jumping out to meet out some summary justice for an earlier fracas. Instead he starts to struggle to put his slippers on…
I’m a boots on kinda guy as well, apologies for the shapely calves.
