If you had the choice between 2 trucks which would you have ?
1st 2016 66 plt Scania G450 got fridge and microwave in and drives ok 500k
Or
2nd DAF early 2016 65plt xf space (not super ) 460 with Fridge , cab cooler , but has done over 700k Got the AS tronic box which is all or nothing and is standard spec and last company ran wine from France and back in it max weights , just had clutch done
Semi tramping 1/3 nights out max
Would you stick with the G cab or swap ?
P/S not me swapping and the DAF drives like ■■■ compared to my 68plt 480 super space XF and it’s no head turner

G450 all day long , AIM logistics had a few of them and they were so much better than than the Daf 510s
I drive daf cf,s , xg , actros, Scania r series , I know yours is a g , but id pick the Scania every day over a daf , but id pick a daf every day over the bone crunching merc
I’ve no choice though & most of the time I end up with a merc
we had a fleet of G410’s for 3 years, new in 2016. I used to like them for day work. Pulled 44T of decker well enough although 450 would have been better. Liked them being lower to the ground for getting in and out a lot in the day, less steps to trip up than the next gen R450’s that replaced them. Seemed to be more nimble too, seemed easier to get in tight spots than the next gens.
That said, when I went tramping I had 2019 530xf and a next gen R500, for pure comfort I thought the XF was the best bed out there, R500 seemed narrow.
Used to do a fair amount of supermarket snoozing in the G cab, was good enough for a couple of nights out a week I would say, wouldn’t want to do all week in it mind, but a decent topper on the mattress would help.
