Scania 112

This was our first 38 ton 112 in April '83 shot here coupled to one of our first C/F tri-axle flats which is loaded with 25 ton of Pulp for the Mill at Beetham.

Very many apologies for such a long absence, but thank you all for the pictures and information! A real eye opener, especially seeing all those wagons and companies that seemed so common when I was younger. As a kid I wanted nothing more than to be a driver, now I’m all “growed up” I don’t know if I still do, as it’s all those Scanny 112’s, 142’s, Volvo F10/12’s and other old school wagons I wanted to drive, not so much modern drive-by-wire silent running Eco 5 plastic units! :smiling_imp:

Nice to see some of Holmans Scania’s & sorry to go a bit of topic, but, I bought a T reg ex Holmans F10 back in 1986 & that was the truck that got me on my feet as an owner driver. I’ve got a few pics of it which I’ll post if I can get them scanned.

was the reg no of that f10 cfj …t mate, they had 3 but i think the other two were s regs

Pretty sure it was mate, CFJ997T seems to ring a bell, I’ll have a look through my pictures later. It was a 240bhp with a 16 speed box, it came cheap at it jumped out of first/fifth gear, I struggled with it for about 5 trips to Spain then got it sorted by Transport Transmisions of Batley. I took the gearbox there in the back of my old Volvo 240 estate, needless to say it dragged it’s backside a little under the weight.

I had A453 FFU a P cab with tag axle rear wheels matching,it was on Norfolk Line when i had it in 1989 but it was then sold dont know where it went tho

My Dad’s old Scania.

His mate Pete drove this Scania, but Dad had it when he was on holiday. The first artic I can remember riding in.
