Why did they do it? Looks like the only benefit is having the cab mounted lower to me!

loved the crusaders that J R Adams used to run .always turned out smart with there distinctive livery,
all hand sign written which nowadays is very rare
did this a couple of weeks ago, hope it might be of interest to any one into this old workhorse

I kind of lost heart in this thread when Photobucket pulled the plug and took away most of the photos posted on here.

This is one of five crusaders belonging to rhr bearings.Their reg numbers were RNN184N, RNN185N,GTV185N,GCH330N,and HRB837N
RNN184N and HRB837N were based at newark.GTV185N at ferrybridge,RNN185N at chelmsford.and GCH330N at blackburn.
Here is one of them before it went to the scrap yard, after they started knocking down the Chelmsford factory
