Back on to truck driving for a minute…
I used to drive liquid food tanks for a while (1990s): we loaded red wine for Buckfast Abbey from Frontignan near Sete. Tip at the Abbey, then reload straight away with the finished product for bottling in London. Took best part of a day there if I remember correctly. Certainly had a wonderful lunch in the refectory, far better than any "works canteens"!
“Buckie” is nowt to do with the abbey/church to-day though.

A propos of not a lot one winter when I was waiting the ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe in the late 1970s during a very cold wintery spell, the UK customs wanted to dip a tanker load of imported French wine but were unable to do so because it had frozen solid.Having a certain level of alcohol in the wine, that surprised me.
Well,when you get bored all sorts of things cross your mind.
