After resisting for far too long i have sucomb to the sat nav brigade What i need to know now is how i put on POI’s and more importantly where can i get Bridge heights info to upload (free if poss)

get poi edit(google it) and in the tools section (i think) click on batch convert. in the left side box is where you get the orignal file from I.E. tomtom and in the right box is where you will send the converted files to I>E garmin. (make a new file on desktop and name it garmin and send you converted files there) then press convert and its done. sounds a tad complicated but have a play and it becomes easier

looks good but not cheap is it
I must admit I think Im going to a wait a year or so & check the reviews on the snooper, Hopefully others will follow & bring a sat nav out that work well for HGVs. Will stick with my tomtom for the mo but it is far from HGV friendly ! there seems to be far to many roads out there that look ok to start with then get narrower & narrower The moral of the story is check the map book to & use the sat nav to guide you in the last mile or so.
the snoopers data is good but its not got 100% coverage yet as said id wait untill it isfully coverage
