Not sure if I read it on here ages ago or not.
But salt box cafe / truck stop outskirts of derby is closing down on 28of November to make way for a care home.
Never used it personality.
Only just found out about it on Google thing on my phone
That was on the BBC news in February, not sure if it was approved but here is the BBC post Hatton: Salt Box café and truck stop earmarked for care home - BBC News
Can’t rember what site I read it on earlier.
But it definitely said it’s closing last day of trading is 28 th November
I googled it out of curiosity to see where it was.
And on Google earth maps it’s a patch of land more or less surrounded by houses so bet there glad it’s going.
As. Say never used it as never heard of it plus don’t go that way much anyway
I used it hundreds of times over the years, so sad to see it going, but would be nice if the new place reserved some beds for knackered old lorry drivers.
They’d never build big it enough-especially for who were on the balcony and then just missed the ferry!
