Sales brochures

Happy days, this was my first drive, underpowered, slow , deafening … but fantastic aircon in summer, both doors wide open all day    Never took a photo of it, so I painted it from memory many years later …

I really like your painting Jerry, and agree that it was much better in the old days… as well as our parents, and their parents, said the same thing before our own “good old days”.

Daf seems to have done business with a lot of different truck manufacturers through the years. Raba and Roman are two brands from the former east europe that were using the Daf cab. I´m not sure if they ever exported anything, but they advertised in some European truck magazines

ROMAN’s were imported into the UK for a while, using predominantly MAN parts.
In fact, I think they may even have been sold through MAN dealerships.

As you rightly say, Autotransit, DAF cabs were used by several manufacturers.
Here’s one sporting the SISU badge.

A very strange looking Sisu, below the cab it´s more like a Russian lorry…maybe they only borrowed the badge? :stuck_out_tongue:

Here´s some more Sisu

I’d be particularly interested to see anything on this model…

I was really wrong when I said that Sweden probably never have had sliding doors on any lorries or vans. This brochure from 1954 proves that we had it…
