Argos got taken over by them about 6 months ago with random management moving between Swindon, Magor and Worksop, hence Wales B&Q deliveries being done out of Argos Magor and a lot of mixed units/trailers going around the place.

Are you thinking of Wilko?

Yep, my bad, I’m blaming old age and late in the day….

These “Contract Partners” have hardly been inspiring when it comes to their recruitment and retention policies - have they?

Still forcing people to work “Any five from seven”…
Still deducting 1hr+ for meal breaks…

…And of course with a lot of local sub-contractors now in serious economic trouble, as the access to their yards has been made a whole lot harder, due to the recent Galley Hill Road collapse in Swanscombe…

Wot are Sainsburys gonna do when they suddenly need an extra 50 divers for a busy delivery weekend?

A glut of drivers on the market - could be snapped up quickly by an IN HOUSE transport infrastructure, but if you’ve already out-sourced it all - then who ya gonna call?

I was unable to find any haulier not based in the DA postcode area called “Ghostbusters” btw…
