Sainsbugs waltham abbey

Hi just thought i would let you know i found the iceland drop this morning in enfield,i was given excellent directions from this site, shame i got there 2 hours early so i had to wait for 2 hours till 9 off the site .

I have a run in the morning to j sainsburys at waltham abbey,i was thinking of coming off junction 26 of the m25,then coming back along the a121 to flemming road aka sainsbugs. Is this the quickest what do you rekon.
thanks welshlad.

thats a much better way of asking mate, and should lead you to less flack of peeps…

do you work 24/7? you always seem to be asking at weekends.

its been 3 yrs since i went there but you will find this is the only route you can use to get there and out again, something to do with local site restrictions, all signs leaving the site send you to j26.

p.s the site is huge

mark

I’ve just got back from Waltham.

The route you said is spot on.

Get off at J26, turn right at the first roundabout go under the motorway & right at the next roundabout. Follow that road for about a mile then go straight across the next roundabout & Waltham depot is on your right. Turn right at the next rounabout & follow the road to the left. Get in the right hand lane then turn right into the depot. Middle lane is for incoming loads.

Maybe I’ll see you there, I’m back up there again tomorrow at 1500ish.

Agreed. A much politer way of asking! Like others have said, yes, that is your best way in!

Copied from The Sainsbury’s book of directions.

M25, exit junction 26.

Follow slip road to roundabout and take 3rd exit which takes you back under M25.

At next roundabout take 2nd exit onto A121

Follow A121 over one roundabout

At 2nd roundabout Waltham Point Depot entrance is the 3rd exit.

Follow service road to gatehouse.

there are weight limits stopping you coming the other way from enfied via the housing estate

You can come in from the other way …via waltham cross…and you can turn right out of the sainsburys gate house…although they tell you to turn left via a signpost…

There used to be HGV restrictions coming from the A10 around the Cross a few years ago.

Found sainsburys no problem, it was not far from the drop i did on saturday
at enfield.Ibooked in at 0.750 this morning and left at 09.15.

That diversion between j 17 and 16 of the m4 this morning was a nitemare,
added an extra three quaters of an hour to my journey, but not complaining
really as i was on 11 pound an hour.

Many thanks for all your inputs.

welshlad

resricted access to sainsburys from waltham cross is lifted due to closure of junction 25 on the m25. don’t forget junction 26 truckstop just at the end of the slip road
at junction 26 opposite the marriot hotel.
