On way from Foggia to Bari(non toll) can anyone recommend somewhere safe(if it exists) to park preferably near the coast.
Collection in the mornings is near to ferry terminal if that helps.

Put Lungomare Maggio in your sat nav at FESCA. That has beach car parking, not far from Bari. It’s OK there. 
Some lovely views along that road, take your camera and post some pics…lol, as to parking i would stop at a petrol station or big restaurant, havent had any problems down there.
Go to port of Bari truck parking, it’s safe enough. I spent 4 days there, there was some small fee that a “guard” collected every day. I took the “iranian line”, felt safer than “east european” line. There’s a free shuttle bus service to the other side of the port where there is customs and ticket offices, that side is also closer to city center.
Also free wifi at the terminal. and a daily market of italian leather jackets, and socks and misc ■■■■■ that ya dont really want, but feel that you must just have a look at…

You can also have a shower at the parking at about noon when the cleaning man comes with his Fiat, he stores his equipment there in the shower room because no one is using it…

Just a second thought, i parked up there for a couple of days ( the port) and while i was there the italian ministry set up shop in the truck park, however they showed no interest in me at all, which made a nice change, they got a sort of trailer that opens out to have ramps on.
bari town was always very dodgy lots of narrow ally,s to get mugged in
