what they like to work for  good or bad

i have never worked for em but have parked in there yard and collected loads from them the lads who i spoke to do seemed happy enough think the pay was adverage i know they do milk collections too as well as general haulage
and the kit is mix age wise but should all be spot on with them having a hand in the scania workshop up the rd hope this helps

thanks cliffton27 for that . do you know if they use subbies at all to do the milk

They use some subbies on the milk trunking into the dairies

One of our drivers used to work for them on milk trunking but they finished him when he got knicked by VOSA for a few moves off the card, so run straight. (or don’t get caught!!)

Ross.

PS, I must add that they never asked him to do it!!!

The guys that iv’e spoken to on the bulk milk. do 6 on 2 off, but seem happy enough

i wouldn’t fancy that shift pattern though

General haulage they usually use your full hours, a few of my mates works for them, if you have 30 minsdrive time left they will send you down the road only to night out at for ton or carnforth when times up, milk work is not bad tho, wages are average, kits all scanias

There’s actually 1 Foden Alpha they run, it’s white with a blue bumper, but they are Scania main agents so most of their fleet is Scania true.

Based local to me and the drivers all seem happy enough. Kit looks very tidy and not heard of anything bad in the area, it’s one I keep looking into every now and then.

And I would love to know where they get their limiters from. Come sailing past me all the time like the clappers

They have an in house VOSA Test station so that could explain it

Have worked for them for 17 yrs, steady job good kit and rarely pushed. All the units are Scania, bar some Dafs and a couple of stralis which were inherited from the takeover of Weavers logistics. I have never been sent down the road with 30 mins left, if your works done then you go home…As for limiters there’s nothing running above 56mph, some of the 440’s have been slowed down to try and improve fuel consumption.
