Hi AV760.AEC man,eh!
I remember Tower Hill Transport.I think their main depot was in Boston,Lincs. They were one of the first to run the TK Bedford in the early 60βs.Had a bit of a reputation for bad maintainance or excessive hours if I remember correctly but I could be wrong. They were in a green livery and did a lot of market work.
Two geordieβs I knew worked for Tower Hill in the 60s. Wally Greaves (never seen without a β β β in his mouth) and GeordieCollis, I think Wally is long gone but Geordie retired from Elddis Transport recently.
Another firm well known to me was Richardsons of Old Jamaica Road, we loaded there regularly in the 70s with groupage for the NE. Ps then did a naughty by sneaking back over Tower bridge (no cameras then) Happy days.Regards kevmac47.
