Help ! Anyone going to Russia or know anyone who does ?
Or has anyone of you guys and gals any experience of the place ? Wasn’t there one who used to go there ? Coffee ■■

Jo - on a mission !

Harry Monk used to do Russia and I am sure there are a couple of others who also did it.

Yes, I did it for about four years during the 1990s. As far as I know, the only British trucks that go there now do specialist movements, exhibitions, rock 'n roll etc.

Yep we have 2 boys on the way to Moscow now but like Harry said it’s for an event!

David Croome from Sheppet in Kent used to do Russia, not sure if he still does though, all wag drag, usually on Lithuanian plates and drivers…

I have been there a quite a few times. Moscow and St Petersburg and a few times to Siberia. Mostly just visiting though.

What do you need to know Jo? As the others have said, its mostly rock’n’roll and exhibition work there. I’ve been going there for the last 12 years, but
only ever with the rock’n’roll tours.

Hasent euromatt been a few time but like has been said with a band tour with Transam trucking

I’m bored so I’ve scanned a few photos

Big problem Mister, you must pay…

LOL .That should put anyone ever wanting to go to the Big Russ!

Nice pics Mr Monk!! Got any more?

Of what I know our company was in Russia a few times, but we run only sprinters.

yup i have been a few times, only as far as moscow though

harry monk, get more pics up please!!!

I seem to remember having seen that picture about 6 months ago. I have forgotten the details :grimacing: :grimacing: Maybe Harry will remind us.

I can sum that one up in two words for you- driver error

Just a couple more for now then…

The Polish/ Belarussian border at Bobrowniki

In the photo below we are freeing off a frozen air valve using a rag soaked in diesel on the end of a stick.

I made 3 trips to moscow in 1994 for currie european with compaq computers, exciting and scary would be my best description. this time of year would be worst possible for a trip, we had fuel line heaters and all sorts of weather protection and still froze up regularly
