Ruislip low bridge sitch

Has anyone on here delivered to Braintree industrial estate in Ruislip recently? There i was last week heading for aforementioned estate only to encounter a 14/6 bridge and I had a 14/9 high cube container.

I use a snooper syrius 2000 for my sins and generally have no problems, but you would think a bridge in London area would be factored into the equation, given I update the thing on a regular basis. Not just me by all accounts, told by warehouse bods I was tipping at,that this particular bridge gives much grief to the foreign drivers who deliver there causing mucho aggro in the process.Any similar experiences with the snooper I have?

You should have been OK, high cube boxes are 9.6" giving you a 14.6" limit. I assume you are on a 1250mm fifth wheel. Normal boxes are 8.6" giving you a 14.00" limit. Personally, I carry a tape measure, and measure if I’m not certain. Just measure from the twistlock to ground and add the height of the box. It seems your snooper was right.

The bridge was only lowered a couple of months ago, It almost caught me out too, but luckily I was 14’6 so went under it very slowly!
