Hopefully have an assessment with Royal Mail next week and wondered if anyone else has been through this recently and could give me an idea of what to expect please?
if you have long hair and a big beard they won’t take you on…that was my experience anyway

RM is a decent job spoilt by a fair number of ring pieces who’ve been there donkey’s years and gone mad with power.
Also it’s very vague who basically calls the shots which creates a lot of little power vacuums for little Hitlers to thrive in. Sometimes I’d find you’d get someone on the phone if you’re not moving one minute after the departure time on the job sheet and other times with someone else as long as you’re back about the right time it’s fine. It feels like various people have instigated their own kpi’s they monitor because as far as I could see there was no urgency for the work when you got back.
