Sorry ROF, wasn’t BRS the revolution in 1948?

Just a practice run, John.

No need for a second wiper at about 35mph flat out unless a step up box was fitted, and it was an extra.
Cheers Leyland 600.

Ropeing and sheeting■■?

If Rookes’ driver calls at Milnethorpe on his way North I’m sure he could borrow a fly sheet from Bewick Transport Services.

Ican see MUNROS has roped over his fly sheet i think he needs to be pulled in by the “comisioners” what our aberdoanian friends called the ministry…i do remember very well staying in a barrack room type of drivers digs/cafe ■■■■■■■■■■■ area , and all MUNROS had the same bib and brace, and slept in them WITH their boots on…

Hiya,
When doing my bit for the old Red and Rust (on three occasions) I did notice when overtaking
or being overtaken how many privateers there was with painted out BRS sheets there was lots
but I never picked a BRS trailer up with a privateer’s sheet and I’m talking before they started
to de-nationalise so the sheets were very obviously stolen the sheet bill for BRS would have
been formidable.
thanks harry, long retired.

Now then, now then “H”,lets consider the other alternative to the conundrum !!! Could it be that some of the thieving Gits that BRS employed could possibly have “sold” the sheets off their motors and then rung and “reported” the theft      This sounds like a more plausible reason to me,and you were probably “■■■■■■■ because you had missed so many “sales”      Cheers Dennis.

Hiya,
No Dennis no sheets or any equipment passed through my hands But I will admit to the
odd dodgy night out being misappropriated and using the old Adana printing gadget to
knock up a few car park tickets to swell the expenses claim.
thanks harry, long retired.

If you were lucky enough to “pick up” a reasonably new sheet the method of “privatising” it was to paint over the B** lettering with re-proofing liquid, then when it was completely dry, apply the liquid to the whole sheet.

Only what I’ve heard, of course. I never had any personal experience of that sort of thing at all. Honest.
