Hi Dan, An experienced " Roper & Sheeter " would have secured your new black ropes with a Hitch
to the rear hooks on Dennis`s trailer.
Cheers, Ray.

Hiya,
The unit belonged to Siddle C Cook and was gifted to J & E when they
they both belonged to the Tayforth Group, incidentally in my time I
worked for both companies at Haslingden and Consett.

Hiya “H” hope you are keeping well and have you had your first jab yet ? ( Don’t tell me you are an "anti vaxxer “H”
!!!) When I looked at the shot of the carnage caused by the J & E Scammell I noted that it had a Durham reg No. so reckoned it must have been a secondhand one they bought. But what I didn’t know was that J & E were part of The Tay Forth Group so you learn summat every day eh! That was a right mess for someone to clear up
So look after yourself Regards Dennis.
P S I recall that my long gone Pal George Holliday from Penrith used to do a lot of work with J & E and he eventually opened his own depot in Rossendale.
Hiya,
Dennis, Aye had the first jab and keeping not too bad, a little add to
the above J & E and before finally shutting up shop became part of
Scottish Road Services and Cookies who I worked for at the time
became part of North East BRS prior to closure. Cookies had quite a
few Scammels J & E getting several I believe most of the heavy stuff
would have been gifted to Pickfords I would imagine. Dennis you and
your good lady keep well.
