Thankyou for the info.I t looks like an excellent example but the front grills were covered over so I wondered if the cooling system had been modified. Hope it’s stil alive. Thanks again.

Wow, Thank’s for the photo.I tracked the name ( W Humphreys) on the 1st photo and they still exist in Essex.I’ll give them a ring after the holiday’s.

This leyland was owned by billy humphreys of silvertown east london,it was the art work was done by ray hargood i may have spelt his surname wrong,ray did some art work on my sons race car around 1994 when he was working on this leyland.I park my lorry in humphreys yard now which is in factory road london E16 near tate an lyles.Bill has pictures of all his old lorries,the pink panther,this leyland,the pied piper etc in his office.Im sure bill will tell you what happened to the lorry and if it still exists.Also on the back of the cab it was sign written “you,ve tried the cowboys now give the indians a chance”!

This was the Humphreys that also had the flashy 141 Scania’s wasn’t it? I think they’ve been mentioned on here before and i’ve got the Truck & Driver’s they were featured in. I’m sure that Leyland was in a mag too, i’ll have to have a dig.
