Hi everyone… I’m considering going back to school next month!! I already have my HGV licences but I want to get my CPCS mobile crane operator card and so far Ritchies training in Glasgow seem to be the most reasonable. Been told that they can provide accomodation for £25 a night as it’s a 10 day course and just wondered if anyone knows what the digs are like up there? Read a few posts about their HGV training dept. and it seems to be mostly positive. Btw, how far is their place from the Braehead Arena…■■ (Scotland is ice hockey Country with 4 major pro. teams and I hope to be in town when the Nottingham Panthers pay a visit to Glasgow and then Kirkaldy )
Hi Duck. I’ve done 3 courses at Ritchies now and they are very good and very professional! They don’t actually provide accommodation but they have a deal with a local guest house, it’s comfortable and wee John there looks after you and you get a good breakfast. It’s about 7 minutes from Ritchies by car so quite close, you can go to them direct, just mention you’re on a course at Ritchies and you’ll get the £25 rate its called the onslow guest house. Braehead is about 15-20 on the m8 depending on time of day and if there’s a rangers game on at ibrox. Hope this helps.
Ok, sounds good!! Thanks for that mate…
