RIP Mick Lowe (Bassman)

Gentlemen

I regret to inform you that my friend, Mick Lowe, of Barton on Humber, known on here as Bassman, has passed away this morning as a result of an illness. A great guy and a good friend, he will be missed.
As we grow older we see more and more of our peers go to the Great Transport Café in the Sky reminding us of our mortality.
As Rabbie Burns said ‘Man was meant to mourn!’, he also said -
‘Should Auld Acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind?
Should Auld Acquaintance be forgot, and days of Lang Syne?’
Rest in peace, Mick, your sufferings over.
Alex

Well I didnt know Bassman other than seeing his comments on this thread & Im sure he will be sadley missed by all, So RIP. Bassman, Regards Larry.

If I’m not mistaken Bassman was a good CB Buddy to our greatest Night man Eddie Airey and IIRC about 4 or 5 years ago I put them in direct touch after many years after their CB chats. I’ll have to tell Eddie next time I see him, unless he already knows of course. I believe Bassman drove for Rugby Cement but I may be wrong on this point, anyway RIP Bassman and condolences to all the family. Bewick.

You are correct, Mick drove for Rugby Cement for many years, I remember him telling me of his CB chats with your driver…
As you say, condolences to Kath and Mick’s family.
