If other hauliers had worked hard and were not lazy (like Eddie Stobart) they would have been successful, however they did not work hard and were lazy so they are now out of business.
thats a some what rash statement my farther and i worked ■■■■ hard and all hours and went out of business what do you have to back up that veiw ?
Don’t take any notice whatsoever “legion” this “ingrate” is without doubt a very minute “cog” in the ESL organisation,I think he can qualify as being a ESL Mushroom( and we all know what mushrooms are fed on!!) Cheers Bewick.
I am pleased to here that you have worked hard and are not lazy, if you want to work for Stobart and can’t get a job with them then try Brewer of Penrith they are Eddies top sub contractor you might be lucky there.

One thing Stobart has excelled at is creating a public relations campaign that has given the company a very high profile in the eyes of everyone who has no knowledge of the industry. Scratch beneath the glossy surface and the reality is far, far different. There are many hauliers, past and present, that are much better representatives of the industry than Stobarts will ever be.
Name one of theses hauliers, you can’t! Fetch the gin. It’s all too much to bear you’ll never see Baz Turner spotting these other hauliers!
I could name 100, but you just wouldn’t understand the concept of creating a successful haulage business. It’s about building a financially sound and viable business, not one that’s built on debt and financial skulduggery. In recent weeks Stobarts has needed to borrow millions of pounds from a non-European bank just to keep going. There’s a lot more to a large transport company than its shiny contract hired trucks. Stobarts is all image and no substance, all flash no cash.

I see. Gin eh? Its all starting to become a bit clearer. I always thought the ES spotters were just anoraks, harmless enough, but these ones, oh dear, there are some seriously disturbing vibes here. Still a great laugh though
Here’s one for you, mind your pants though

Bewick:
Why don’t you ESL anoraks persuade TNUK to create a site dedicated to nothing else but the “worship” of all things Stobart and then we could get rid,off this site, of all the weirdos,ESL Rslickers, spotters and other attendant nutters who havn’t a clue about what it is like to be a haulier! Then we could return to concentrating on what the site is all about I.E. interesting crack and discussion about times gone by in the transport world 99% of which took place long before Stobarts arrived on the scene! Oh! and by the way if you wally’s got your own site you needn’t worry about us “salt of the earth” lads logging on as you would first have to produce details of a “doctors note” certifying that you were a “bona fide” Stobart “head the ball”.Best of luck,Bewick.

I love the way that just because these people adore writing names and numbers in spiral bound notebooks (in pencil, because they’re not allowed sharp pens), they have become experts in the British Haulage Industry through the ages
It was me who asked, George - thanks. So that will be a real expert on the British Haulage Industry then, yes?

has dennis fallen asleep while watching the last episode or he might be making notes.

Well said that Man! But the “fans” aren’t on the same planet and do not have the slightest inkling how a proper transport operation functions! ESL’s mantra-----“Smoke and Mirrors”,and when the balloon goes up,we’ll be sat in the British Virgin Isles!!!

I’m sat havi’n a pint in’t Grasslot WMC if thoo wants t’u nor eh! £1 a pint(Jennings Sneck Lifter!) Cheers(have you got a tab here Paul,or wat?) Dennis.
Hi not wishing to taint the memory of this apparently great man who transformed the haulage industry.
May I be allowed to ask if he was so sucessful how come this happened?
As quoted from Wikipedia!
In May 2011 it was revealed that Stobart had considerable debts at the time of his death and had indeed filed for bankruptcy in 2010.
I personally think that says it all really! All show and no dough!!
When I was in Ireland in March I noticed many Stobart trucks and was suprised to see so many were Irish registered as on my many previous visits I had only seen a few if any. I was my cousins wedding in Killala and spoke with the best man who happened to be an owner driver, I mentioned the many Stobart trucks I had seen and he told me they were doing all the work out of the local Coca Cola factory one of the largest in Europe. Alledgedly they had got the work at a very competitive rate but also were doing all the first months work totally for free!!!

That EDDIE STOBART FAN. he’s a superstar is that lad, I don’t know what he’s on, but I wouldn’t mind a small dose of it. He’s ■■■■ good free entertainment. I’ll bet Baz is a barrel of laughs.

They are still the best.
Any chance of you offering up some evidence to support this claim? And best at what exactly?

Just to name a few
Prestons of Potto
W H Malcolm
Jack Richards & Sons
R T Keedwell/ K.J Logistics
Pollock
At least these hauliers aren’t thick enough to have a rival firms name plastered on one of their own trailers. And I’m glad baz turner doesn’t spot these other firms. Unlike you I’d preffer to see a slim blonde with a nice pair than see a fat sweaty old man taking a picture of my wagon thank you very much. You’re claims to Eddie stobart being the best company are backed by no evidence, the companies I mentioned won’t be the best to work for no doubt but they aren’t the worst. Now run along get off your high horse and take a dose of reality, you’re probably a fan because you wern’t good enough to be a driver
Assuming your a grown man and not a pectulant ES bum licker 14 year old on his parade of Eddie stobart is the best.
I can probably guarantee you will apply to be a driver at ES and they won’t accept you. Thats probably the whole list of spotters. Failed applicants

It looks like they are paying off the drivers based at their Workington depot (noticed how they announced this after the TV series has ended) Ballet star shows off charity portraits | Bucks Free Press
At least the younger Stobart has passed his HGV
The newspapers in ■■■■■■■ (except the Westmoreland Gazette) have a very high interest in all things Stobart!

Hi goergeking,
Being a south ■■■■■■■ resident myself, as Dennis was too, for many years, perhaps the Westmorland Gazette
newspaper does not wish to spoil his retirement years by publishing the self - gloryfication
of the Stobart name !!
Thankfully, Stobarts aren`t quite as verminous in our area of South ■■■■■■■■
I hope this explanation is of help to you !
Cheers, cattle wagon man.
