Is there a way that the admin can resort PMs ?
As I’m trying to find that pic of that Volvo I know I PM the poster but seem like Iv deleted his pm by mistake some time ago 
Iv looked in my send folder cant seem to find it now, hope to Christ you can as it’s making me go loopy 
As an owner of a forum I doubt very much you can recover deleted pm’s, the admin should have no access to them at all, though there are hacks on phpBB that can access pm’s but this is a lot of work and is extremely unethical.

Just a thought is the message in the outbox? This is where the messages sit until the recipient has read them, then they move to the sent folder.
Might be worth sending him another message if you remember his username.
Also if you use tapatalk it keep a record of sent messages. Can’t remember if the forum doss though
