If I were you I would go back to that post and delete it all
(Click on the pencil bottom right of your post and back space it all)

I’ sure everyone here is honest, but putting name address etc www is not a good move in my view

OK…you’re doing it now

There you are!! You can clearly see the date of issue and the date of expiry are not ten years!!

john…

Well that’s different.

True, it’s not ten years.

Is your dob 09/09/1954? *****
Or was your last photo supplied to DVLA 09/09/2014?

At 70 everyone needs to reapply. Photos last 10 yrs.

**** :astonished:But you look so young! :grinning:

No, i was born in 1962, so it cannot be that. It was my first photocard licence too. I had not choice other than to get it as i had just passed the bike test so had no choice. Much rathered the old green thing…

Still got the green one, i told the DVLA that i had lost it. I kept it as it has the proof of my HGV entitlement on it.

I know someone that was one of those that did their bike test in about 1980 and the DVLA lost the details and they had to do it twice, so i made sure i kept the evidence…

john…

@franglais how have you not burnt out your retiners with that colour scheme. I would need a full welding mask to look at that

tis weird why its different though

No, not at all, it is a light background but the brightness is turned down.
It doesn’t glow or light the room up or owt.
Quite neutral and almost drab.
.
That is desktop by the by.
I`ve looked at the mobile/tablet form and that appears the same?

Maybe we could look all over the www to find out why that is? Should only take a few centuries to do?
Or maybe someone, even a total stranger would know, and could point us to a site that explains it?

So that is your first photo Licence?
The photo itself was sent in with the pass cert for the m/cycle test?
The photo was not from an earlier document such as a passport and copied across?

I would have a look at the back of the licence too.
Column 11 will have the expiry dates on too. I doubt the car/bike ones will be different at all, but worth a 5 second look.

Date overprinted on photo is 09092023 so is out of date.
