I have to say that they’ve really grown on me…what really spoils it though is that awful big badge on the side of the cab which really looks out of place. I spoke to a driver with one last week who said it drove very well, looked nice inside too. Unfortunatly some people will dismiss them simply because its a Renault without even trying one. I reserve final judgement until I’ve actually driven one though!

I agree with you it has really grown on me too it’s not a bad looking lorry better than a new Volvo. I really want to test drive one it seems like a really good lorry
I don’t now why renault painted it that ugly colour for shows doesn’t do it justice it looks well in white like this one

That looks much better. They also could do something to break up the size of the bonnet panel. Such a large all in one piece looks out of place.

+1
Like all these Trucks, they seem to look better when the working clothes go on .
i drive this every now and then when required, i can tell you its a massive improvement on the premium which i drive usually on a daily basis. we also have mainly a scania fleet and i would take this over the G cab scanias all day long, I can honestly say you need to drive one to judge it.

That looks very smart
Has any one thought that renault designed the T range that way to make it stand out we had the premium look for so long i think they had to do something radical to draw attention to the new range, which they have done,ie launch vehicle in snotty brown
nice motor

How does it stand out it looks mostly the same as the new Volvo and shares a lot of its parts too

It does stand out and they also called it the T range so drivers would say they drove a Renault rather than a Premium as we all did before. makes sense, and think about the the money spent on research during the development of this truck, they know what there doing

Definitely the ugliest truck on the road, typical crap french design thank god we are not getting their magnum update, they can keep it.It’s not as ugly as a Magnum and it could be a good lorry you shouldn’t just Judge a lorry on how it looks
Why not, looks are everything, you wouldn’t buy a new range rover if you didn’t like the way it looked, would you?
With all due respect, its not a Range Rover its a working tool. If I were an operator, which I’m not, then with my previous time with driving Renaults, including 11 years on Premiums then I’d have one like a shot, if as used to be with the case with Premiums the price isnt premium.
Never had any issues with the Premiums, and all were pre Volvo sticking their nose in 385/420dci. Never could understand why Renault needed Volvo driveline and running gear, one thing they did well was driveline/running gear, especialy once they dropped the B18 for the ZF gearbox .The cab rot and electrics on earlier models, G nad R cabs left a little to be desired though.
Luckily I’m not an operator, so I can say all this whilst sitting on the bed in my topline Scania because I dont pay for it
Your not wrong with a lot of that mate but I am an operator and a driver and I talk to a lot of colleagues who have had them as I have had myself and there are other cheap trucks such as Ivecos and MANs that I would rather spend my money on before I bought one. Put it this way, there are no bad trucks anymore so why by an ugly one. As we can’t all afford scanias I would rather have a stralis on looks alone. Just my opinion
True I think the new iveco is a very good looking lorry but I would buy the man it’s not as good looking as the iveco but it has a bigger cab and it seems to have a better interior and if it’s anything like the old one it will be very nice to drive but the iveco seems better than the renault and yes your right there are no bad lorries so why buy a ugly one
If everyone had the same view on trucks the roads would be very boring

Someone’s made the effort to try to be different…
That’s looks well

Saw this motor at Truckfest today, thought it looked really nice in the flesh
Got to have a poke around one on the Renault stand, and I was not disapointed, looked to me to be a well laid out truck, enough room to tramp in, and like the top bunk fold up front, I already store plastic boxes on the top bunk in My Topline so this idea seems to me to be a manufacturer listening to their market. I could not find anything to fault it on

Yes, and yes.
I was only really intrested in getting a look inside the T range, though I’ve been pushing Scanias and Volvos (we’ve got some FH4’s on our fleet, so I’ve had look in one, nice ) about for the last 5 years or so, before that I had 15 years on Renaults, so I have been intrested too see what they’d done. Had a good natter to the sales rep about Renaults off old, and new.
