This may be nothing to worry about but when driving our Dxi auto premium the other day with no trailer (first time driving it in a while as it was away) I noticed a clonking noise from the gearbox at each gear change. I hadn’t noticed this before and I don’t see anything obvious? I know they obviously make a noise when changing
But it seems a lot louder than before
Sounds like a dodgy uj. Better get checked before prop shaft damage.
Have you noticed any vibration ? while driving .
The Volvo gearbox does make a lot of noise on certain changes. However it may not be transmission at all. Solo 6x2 unit with worn 2nd axle suspension linkages among other things, may well klonk when gears are changed. It ought to do the same on bumps however.
