Hi guys can anyone tell me if the first of the Volvo engined Renault premium,s euro 3 440 dxi would have been egr engines , I know the 450 came with ad blue , I reckon the first of the Volvo engines would have been around 2006 at Euro 3 wouldn’t have egr but I could be wrong .
Premium isn’t an EGR engine - Ad blue only. 440 Dxi is Euro 3
Thanks neversweat , that’s my thought on it although a friend tried to tell me he spent a a fortune on a 440 dxi as it was a egr engine , i was looking at a low km one for local shunting and he warned me off it for that reason, what would your thoughts be on one ?
It isn’t dangerous money so I ain’t expecting much ,and I thought that having no add blue on local shunting would be a bonus ?
To be honest other than drive belt idler failure and water pumps the worst thing that engine suffered from was Injector sleeve failure. Diesel in the coolant being the giveaway.
