Here’s my old girl in Budapest, some years ago. Personally I loved this truck. Only time it missed a beat was on the one occasion I had an urgent load and she had a slow puncture, rear left. And that wasn’t such a problem, as she carried her own airline…I just stopped every hour and put wind in the tyre…

Here’s a Turkish registered Maggie, joining the scrum to get 130 trucks out of a single gate from Austria to Hungary. Incidentally I’d love to see pictures and reports of what this place is like now…

And finally a balmy sunday afternoon at Café Camion, sharing a post-prandial beer, watching the world go by and listening to the drunk soldiers on the Hungarian side of the border shooting holes in trailers…those were the days…
