Renault key fob battery change

Hi all.

My remote control for my Renault T cab 67 plate has stopped working. Probably the battery as when not in use the key lives under the front flap, and the temperature lately hasn’t done it any favors. I could take it to the workshop, but that’s at another depot and means an extra 2 hours on my day which I’d rather avoid if possible. It’s one of these.

Does anyone know how they come apart? I’ve google and searched YouTube, but only find 3 button types,

Tia.

Personally I’d not attempt it just in case. It may need reprogramming and.your truck won’t start.

Or maybe take it to timpsons?

Usually with every keyfob I’ve ever done no matter what make of vehicle you prise both halves of the fob apart, often you can do it with pushing a strong thumbnail or a credit card down the seam between the two halves, and as long as you swap out the battery within a minute or so there’s no issues. CR2032 is the most common battery used.

You’ve nailed it here! That’s all you need to do pal
