I must be a sucker for punishment after my previous post, but here goes anyway. I want to replace the radio in my MAN TGX 2012. Can anyone offer advice on the ease of the process and how one actually gets the factory unit out of the dash? Is it a standard double din module?
Radiohead removal is a tricky operation, don’t let some Creep do it, I’d be Paranoid Android apps couldn’t show me how to do it and make a mess of it, Karma Police would say for not reading the instructions online, OK Computer will have it somewhere
I have to give you kudos for your considered reply, I just knew it was a mistake to post again!
Cracking answer Bigdave.
Dont know if it’s fully true. Or if relevant.
My mate wanted change his built in unit in his vauxhall insignia.
He was told the units are registered to the car. Can’t be swoped between cars. They dont have codes like the use to have.
Plus am gussing these days prob need connect a diagnostics tool and tell it you’ve changed the unit etc.
Not as simple as it used to be connect a few wires away you go.
O I miss.blowing fuses burning my fingers installing car radios in the days when cars didn’t have inbuilt onea. Or even come with one
A hammer…
Alternatively, and sorting a lot of other problems in the mean time, a match and a gallon of petrol…
(Yeah, I drive one too…)
