how do you remove old posts from this forum any ideas?
There is no facility to do that, not much point in a forum if you could remove posts.
Do you have a specific issue with one of your previous posts?

no issues havent said anything bad about the ex wife yet 
Providing no-ones quoted your post, you could just edit the item, and remove any wording you wish.
But if someone has quoted you, then you have no control over that, as the person who did the quote will have the editing rights.
Removing complete posts in topics, would screw up the lineage of that thread, and make it garbled & un-readable
I remember someone started a thread a while back with “I need to earn £hilarious per week” and it got removed after OP tried to remove what he’d already posted, but as mentioned couldn’t edit someones quotes…
