Reminder never rely on Google maps

Do people not have a brain anymore.
Car driver in India i think it. Is.
Anyway he blindly follows Google maps. Drives onto a bridge that was damaged years ago in a storm. (Google maps thinks it’s still standing)
Story short car driver just kept going drove off end of bridge n died.
You can’t make it up…
Surley must be a point you look n realise there’s no cars . Lots of cones signs saying danger etc. I know let’s carry on regardless satnav says so.
You can’t make it up at times

According tot he article there was “inadequate signage” for the partially demolished bridge and the car appears to have been travelling at speed, that doesn’t mean you cannot use your eyes though does it

People have driven onto railway tracks before now and blamed the sat-nave

Pretty much explains it, inadequate infrastructure, inadequate driving skill and abilities.
A few years ago we had an incident that made the news. A group of Asian tourist hired a small two wheel drive car and headed to one of the Moreton Bay islands, following a satnav. They proceeded to the (vacant) ferry terminal at Cleveland, continuing down the ramp and onto the mudflats until they were hopelessly bogged.
The driver stated he simply followed the satnav instructions.

The modern Gene Pool is always in need of a little chlorine, we even have recognition for it

To be fair they could have put some concrete block barriers across the open bridge and at the point where the poor mug obviously drove onto it off of the proper road. With a big road signs saying STOP ROAD CLOSED.
