Melbur quarry at Indian Queens for bagged aggregates? Won’t pay a lot but flat trailer loads out of Cornwall are as rare as hen’s teeth.
try Barronwood Distribution, they are a backload specialist, can get you work from most parts of the country

I think so too, although it might be worth giving Gregory’s a call, they control most of the traffic going out of Devon and Cornwall.

its gonna be a trying day, there is 12 loads tipping all looking to get back to north east, only consolation i have is mine is first to tip in morning
Try some of the scrap merchants, they might have some bailed cars heading to Wales.

No offence intended here but you have priced the job to make money going home empty or back to the midlands havent you?
Maybe Chep pallets have a place down Bristol, Kings at Avonmouth?

I was thinking of this crowd. Most of their trucks I see these days are pulling flats.

Apart from where to go for the next load, Gregory’s don’t tell me anything.
I wonder why on earth you would need a backload out of Cornwall anyway
It is such an out of the way place, with little industry, barely enough to keep the local boys in a job, so surely you would charge the job back to Bristol at the least and ideally all the way back home
How many o/d’s or small haulage outfits can have any say on rates or charge what they want in the first place?
answer not many!

answer, Those with a flat trailer, as they’re rare the work tends to be more specialised and as with any niche market, the money can be far better as there is far less competition that can come in and do the job for a backload rate !
Fixed that for you mate
no need to explain about flats as i have owned and operated them since 1998 so i have some basic knowlage on the subject!
thanks for your helpful input though
