Religious nutter tied in knots

I dont think it would last long if I was married to an atheist. But my wife has the same religous and politics views so its much easier

Sploom, which religions guide their followers to heaven and which ones are condemning their people to the fire and brimstone?

Also, you recently berated another member for dismissing the views of climate change scientists, yet you ignore the mainstream scientists’ acceptance of evolution. Does your God tell you which scientists you’re allowed to believe?

Asking for a friend up north, you understand.

I bet you are an absolute scream and life and soul of the party to be attached to mate.

Have you not watched this tv comedy yet that I pointed out to you?
Everytime you go off on one over all this stuff, you always remind me of this guy.

Star down under.I dont follow any of the main religions. As a Christian fundamentalist ,I belive in the Bible as the ultimate authority,so I cant tell you which religions guide their followers to heaven or hell.
As regards global warming ,its happening before our eyes, and I do follow the mainstream view here.Like anybody else,I have to make a judgement on whether to believe something or not.
With evolution, nobody has been able to witness it.I can understand that if one convinces themselves there is no God,then you have little choice but to believe in evolution instead,I think.
But I would question whether it has actually been proven as such.
The creation of life was a miracle, but how do you apply a test to miracle.Imagine when Jesus turned water into wine.If someone was to send a sample of that wine to a lab(in theory),the lab results would indicate the wine was of a certain age. This would be classed as “proof” that the wine was man made…
But surely there is no science that can test whether something happens miraculously, because,by definition,it would not be a miracle

But,heres a thing for atheists, you believe all matter follows the laws of physics, right?
So you have all this matter that makes up the human brain. All the atoms in the brain have to follow the laws of physics. That rules out any freedom of choice because our brain has to follow the laws of physics. It cant have any output from its own personal choice.

Robroy,I cant watch that link because I dont have a signin for channel 4.I presume its a show mocking Christianity.I do have a sense of humour but,at the same time,I take it very seriously where we spend eternity. Why wouldnt I?

Speaking of evolution how come we don’t currently see evidence of half man half monkeys walking around? Ignoring tipper drivers obviously. We also don’t see evidence of lizards transforming into birds either! Did evolution suddenly reach a point where it went “yep, that’ll do nicely, I’ll stop right there”? Witchcraft I tell you

The moaster, yes thats a good point, also where are all the bones of these creatures that “evolved” into humans.Didnt they call it the missing link…

So you believe only your fundamentalist brethren will get an invitation to heaven.

What I find puzzling is, if God is the big cheese, with the best magic, why does he make it so ambiguous. Faith, or lack thereof, is not an option. It is an involuntary decision, like taste, you can’t decide what your favourite colour is, or if you like cabbage.
So why does a supposedly loving God demand worship, yet make it so hard to even determine his existence. It’s simply not logical.
As people have become better educated, the percentage of believers has decreased dramatically. No wonder so many religions discourage anything but the very basic 3Rs.

Yes,I believe only Christians can get to Heaven. The oroblem with all the other teligions is that it involves working your way to Heaven by trying to be good enough, but it says in the Bible everybody falls short of the required standarf to make it to Heaven…Once you commit the smallest sin against a holy God,you blew it,there arent enough good works left for you to maup for that. O ne din.You need a substutute,Jesus death on the cross.I dot find it har to determine His existence. The evidence is everywhere, even the fact that we are having this conversation.
The message of Christianity is simple enough.I would recommend reading the gospel of John to start with.
But there is a price to pay.People will ridicule you and say all sorts of nasty things. You have to decide if you are willing to pay the price.

The Bible tells us to go forth and multiply and also ,in the book of Leviticus ,we should welcome strangers into our lands. But I think, today, that instruction no longer applies completley.l.There wasnt an overpopulation issue at the time. There were no weapons of mass destruction at the time,or terrorists with bomb making equipement.Given that we cant choose which countries to accept asylum seekers from without being called racist, then we have to shut the doors completley,in order to avoid the danger of letting terrorists into the country.
If someone wants to help people in other countries, there are charities that do this.

I won’t give you the obvious reply ,.I’m better than that.
So you are doing your own interpretations to your Bible now then
Like I say mate,.you’re a bit selective with your views and religion.

You cant be born again and then go back to being a normal person. The Bible states that. You must have made a false proffesion of faith.
Philipians 1.6 He who began a good work in you will carry it on .
But no need to worry. The narrow path to Heaven is open to you today.
Off to church now, will mention your name at the prayer meeting.

I ain’t worried one bit mate, and the only path I’ll be taking today, is the one down to the pub to watch Liverpool beat Man Utd. (Or those who should not be mentioned) . (Rob. chapter 1 verse 1)

The church of Rob, I could be converted if it also allows rugby league.
The beauty of the bible is that there are so many versions, each with so many contradictions, that it can never be wrong.
An eye for an eye, or turn the other cheek, depends on how drunk you are, or how big the other bloke is.

Nah you got that wrong mate, these types hate gays, so it’s more of a case of…
‘Love thy neighbour but not his ■■■’.

The church of Rob,he only got to chapter one ,verse one, lol, but seriously,in answer to your question about gays,we love our LGBT people ,but we are not willing to promote this lifestyle.

Wow…you’ve changed your tune on this, you avoided the question last time, and basically refused to answer it.

Have you been taking advice from the Oberstumbanfuhrer of your sect, on how to answer awkward questions since our last exchange on this?

So here’s another couple.
Are gay people sinners when they perform the ■■■ act on each other?

Are they entitled to a place in Heaven if they consider themselves Christian’s.
