So my question is…
I’ve counted that i have had three reductions already this week, So i have to make sure that i finish work within 13hours on Friday?
I’ve worked it out to be any shift that is over 13 hrs is a reduction and then a start time the next day less than 11 hours is another reduction. Or is that just one ?

A shift of more than 13 hours is one reduced daily rest period regardless of how many hours rest you have.
You must have completed a daily rest period of 11 hours within the period of 24 hours from the start of the shift.
If the shift is more than 13 hours from start to finish you cannot complete an 11 hour rest period within the 24 hour period therefore it has to be a reduced daily rest period.
If the shift is more than 13 hours and you have 11 or more hours rest it’s still a reduced daily rest period because only the rest period that fits into the 24 hour period counts towards the daily rest period.

You’ve had 2 reduced daily rest period so far since your last weekly rest period.
You need to finish no later than 21:35 Friday.
I should add that if you have 3 consecutive hours rest during the shift you can do a 15 hour spread-over, it’s called a split daily rest period and it does not count as a reduced daily rest period.

Ok, If i started 05.01 on Tuesday instead of 06:35 would that make it another deduced? or would that still be one?
Many Thanks

It’s still one reduced daily rest period.
The regulations say nothing about 13 or 15 hour shifts, those figures come from the amount of daily rest that has to fit into the 24 hour period from the start of the shift.
It’s only the amount of rest that’s taken in the 24 hour period that makes it a regular or reduced daily rest period, the term is “Reduced daily rest period” not extended shift period
If you do a 15 hour spread-over from the start to the end of the shift you can only fit 9 hours rest into the 24 hour period (15+9=24), the length of shift is only relevant in as much as it dictates how much rest you can fit into the period of 24 hours from the start of the shift.
- A 15 hour shift followed by a 9 hour rest period = 1 reduced daily rest period.
- A 13.5 hour shift followed by a 9 hour rest period = 1 reduced daily rest period
- A 13.5 hour shift followed by a 12 hour rest period = 1 reduced daily rest period
(13.5 hour shift + 10.5 hours rest = 24 hours - so that’s a reduced daily rest period of 10.5 hours even though you had 12 hours rest)
- A 12 hour shift followed by a 10 hour rest period = 1 reduced daily rest period.
(This is obviously because the rest period was less than 11 hours)
